This simple one panel comic is a challenge issued to me by a friend. The guidelines were for the comic were to feature both Batman and Superman standing still.
So this is what I came up with.
Dc comics owns these characters I in no way take credit for their iconic likenesses nor am I attempting to make money off their image.
Personally these are a couple of my favorite heroes out there. I am also a Flash fan but I do not attempt fan art of him as drawing a character in perpetual motion is very hard. I commend the brave artists who keep that comic alive. No easy feat and they do a great job on the art.
This here image took me about ten hours to complete with multiple drawings and concepts created before the final decision was made to go with this style. I also thought it would be fun to toss a bit of Akira Toriyama style into the characters as I always thought it would be very cool to see what other characters and worlds would look like in his style. I do not feel I do the idea justice but I tried and there it is lol.
I really took my time with the background and used image reference to attempt to get good three point perspective in there and good details. It was a learning experience I am sad to see how much work I put into the background is almost completely covered by the characters lol. I may post just the background embedded in the blog later for people to enjoy all my hard work.
